Loading fonts…

How to use it

  1. 1Type the name in Arabic or English.
  2. 2Choose a font (Cairo, Tajawal, Lalezar, Reem Kufi, Amiri or Ruqaa) and a style: keychain, desk plaque or letters only.
  3. 3Adjust the width, thickness and keyring hole, and watch the preview update.
  4. 4Download a 3MF or STL — or the base and text as separate files for two-color printing.

Ideas to print

Family name keychains, office and door name plates, Ramadan and Eid gifts, baby and wedding favours, and names for school events. They print best in PLA filament, and two-color prints are easy with a Bambu Lab AMS.

Fonts: Cairo, Tajawal, Lalezar, Reem Kufi, Amiri, Aref Ruqaa — all under the SIL Open Font License.

A name keychain generator that actually handles Arabic

Arabic letters change shape depending on where they sit in a word, join to their neighbours and run right to left. Most free keychain generators skip all of that, so an Arabic name comes out as separate, reversed letters that nobody can read.

This generator shapes text with HarfBuzz, the open-source engine inside Chrome, Android and most operating systems. It picks the initial, middle and final form of every letter, builds ligatures such as لا and الله, and places marks like the hamza correctly — so the name you print matches the name you typed.

Keychain, desk plaque or standing letters

Choose the style that fits what you are making:

  • Keychain — the base follows the letters, with a keyring hole on the side the name starts (right for Arabic, left for English).
  • Desk plaque — a rounded rectangular plate with the name raised on top, for offices, doors and gifts.
  • Letters only — just the name, for cake toppers, wall letters or gluing onto other prints.

Tips for printing name keychains

Keep the raised text at least 1.2 mm high and the base 2.5–3 mm thick so the keychain does not snap. Bold fonts such as Cairo, Lalezar and Tajawal stay readable down to about 45 mm wide; Ruqaa and Naskh look best at 70 mm or more.

For a two-color keychain, print the base in white or a light color and the name in a strong color. With a Bambu Lab AMS the colors change automatically; on any other printer, add a filament change at the base height.

Frequently asked questions

Why do Arabic letters come out disconnected in other tools?

Most 3D text generators do not shape Arabic, so they place every letter in its isolated form, left to right. We use HarfBuzz — the same text engine browsers and operating systems use — to pick the right form for each letter, join them and lay them out right to left.

Which font prints best?

Bold fonts such as Cairo at weight 800, Lalezar and Tajawal print cleanly even small. Ruqaa and Naskh (Amiri) are more elegant but have fine details, so make the name 70 mm wide or more.

How do I print the name in two colors?

With a Bambu Lab AMS: download the base and text files, import them together and load them as one object, then give each part a color. Without an AMS: add a filament change at the base height in your slicer.

Can I sell keychains I make here?

Yes. The fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License and the designs you create are yours.

Is this name keychain STL generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on downloads, and everything runs in your browser.

Can I make a keychain with an English and an Arabic name?

Type one name at a time — mixed Arabic and English text is supported, but short single names print most clearly.
