3D printer filament buying guide
We carry Bambu Lab and Elegoo filament in 1.75 mm, in PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and engineering materials such as ASA, PC and carbon- or glass-fibre nylon. Use the Finish filter to narrow PLA down to Basic, Matte, Silk, Sparkle, Wood, Glow and more.
PLA is the easiest material and the right choice for most decorative prints and prototypes. PETG is tougher and more heat- and moisture-resistant, good for outdoor and mechanical parts. ABS and ASA handle higher temperatures but need an enclosed printer. TPU is flexible and rubber-like, for phone cases, gaskets and grips.
Bambu Lab filament comes on spools (or cheaper spool-free refills) with an RFID tag, so Bambu printers with an AMS detect the colour and settings automatically. Elegoo filament is a good-value option that works on any 1.75 mm printer.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PLA Basic, Matte and Silk?+
All three are PLA and print with similar settings. Basic has a slight gloss and the widest colour range; Matte has a flat, non-reflective finish that hides layer lines; Silk has a shiny, metallic-looking surface that is popular for decorative prints.
Does Bambu Lab filament work on other printers?+
Yes. Bambu Lab filament is standard 1.75 mm and works on any FDM printer. The RFID tag is simply ignored on printers that cannot read it.
What is a spool-free refill?+
A refill is the same Bambu Lab filament without the plastic spool, so it costs less. You fit it onto a reusable Bambu Lab spool you already own.
How should I store filament in Jordan?+
Keep opened spools sealed with desiccant. PLA tolerates humidity reasonably well, but PETG, TPU and nylon absorb moisture and print better after drying in a filament dryer.
