Free Online Circuit Simulator with Arduino, ESP32 & Raspberry Pi
Build electronics on a virtual breadboard, program an Arduino Uno, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico or Raspberry Pi, and watch LEDs, servos and displays respond. Free, in your browser.
How to use it
- 1Drag a board and parts from the list onto the workspace, or open Starter circuits.
- 2Wire by clicking one pin and then another. Parts pushed into breadboard holes connect automatically.
- 3Open Code and program with blocks or text: C++ for Arduino, MicroPython for ESP32 and Pico, Python for Raspberry Pi.
- 4Press Start simulation. Press buttons, turn knobs, change sensor readings, and watch the serial monitor, multimeter and oscilloscope.
An Arduino simulator that runs real code
Most online Arduino simulators only pretend to run your sketch. Here, your code is compiled with the official Arduino toolchain and the resulting firmware runs on a simulated ATmega328P chip in your browser — the same instructions that would run on a real Arduino Uno. Libraries such as Servo, LiquidCrystal I2C and Adafruit NeoPixel work as they do on the real board.
The circuit itself is solved electrically, so an LED without a resistor, a button wired to the wrong rail or a short circuit behaves the way it would on your desk.
ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico and Raspberry Pi in Python
Switch the board to an ESP32 or Raspberry Pi Pico and program it in MicroPython with the familiar machine, neopixel and i2c_lcd modules, or pick a Raspberry Pi and use gpiozero or RPi.GPIO. Breakpoints and single-stepping let students see exactly which line is running.
Beginners can use block coding instead of text; the blocks generate Arduino C++ or MicroPython that you can read and edit.
Parts and instruments
Build on a full-size breadboard with parts found in most starter kits:
- LEDs, RGB LEDs, resistors, push buttons, slide switches, potentiometers and buzzers.
- Servo motors, NeoPixel strips, 16×2 I2C LCD displays and seven-segment displays.
- Light, temperature, ultrasonic distance and motion sensors whose readings you can change during the simulation.
- A serial monitor, multimeter and oscilloscope to measure what the circuit is doing.
Test before you buy, then print the case
Try a project before ordering components, check your wiring before connecting a real board, or teach a whole class without a single kit. When the circuit works, press Case in 3D to open a matching enclosure in the free 3D Designer, and buy the boards and parts from our store in Amman.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a free Tinkercad Circuits alternative?
Yes: breadboard, components, block or text coding and simulation. It also runs ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico and Raspberry Pi in Python, which Tinkercad does not.
Is the Arduino code real?
Yes. Your sketch is compiled with the official Arduino compiler on our server and the resulting firmware runs on a simulated ATmega328P in your browser, so Servo, LiquidCrystal I2C and Adafruit NeoPixel code works.
How do the ESP32 and Pico boards work?
They run Python in your browser with MicroPython-style machine, neopixel and i2c_lcd modules, plus breakpoints and single-stepping for learning to debug.
Can I print a case for my circuit?
Yes. Press Case in 3D to open a case and lid with holes for the USB port, LEDs and buttons in the 3D Designer, then export it for printing.
Why does compiling take a few seconds?
Arduino sketches are compiled with the real Arduino compiler on our server. Compiles are queued so the website stays fast for everyone; if many people are compiling at once, you may be asked to wait a few seconds. Python boards run instantly in your browser.
Do I need to install the Arduino IDE?
No. Everything runs in the browser. When you are ready for real hardware, copy the code into the Arduino IDE and upload it to your board.
Can I use it in class?
Yes. Teachers can create a class, share starter circuits, and students join with a six-character code — no email address needed.
