Online G-code Viewer for 3D Printers
Preview a G-code file layer by layer before you print, with the print time and filament use your slicer calculated.
Choose a G-code file to preview
.gcode, or a sliced .gcode.3mf from Bambu Studio
How to use it
- 1Export G-code from your slicer (or a .gcode.3mf from Bambu Studio).
- 2Choose the file — it is read inside your browser.
- 3Move the layer slider to inspect each layer, and switch on travel moves if you want.
- 4Plug the time and weight into the cost calculator to price the print.
Why preview G-code before printing?
The slicer preview shows what you asked for; the G-code is what the printer will actually do. Checking it catches problems before they waste hours of filament:
- Missing or floating layers and parts that start in mid-air.
- Supports that were not generated where you expected.
- Wrong print size after a scaling or unit mistake.
- A file sliced for the wrong printer or bed size.
Reading a G-code file
G-code is plain text: each line is a command such as G1 X10 Y20 E0.5, which moves the nozzle to X10 Y20 while pushing 0.5 mm of filament. The viewer replays every move, colours the toolpaths from bottom (teal) to top (orange), and lets you step through the layers with the slider.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the print time come from?
From the slicer’s own comments inside the file (Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura). If there are none, we calculate a rough estimate from distances and speeds, which usually comes in under the real time.
Does it work with Bambu Lab files?
Yes. Open a .gcode file directly, or the .gcode.3mf from “Export plate sliced file” and we pull the G-code out automatically.
Why does it look different from my slicer?
We draw toolpaths as thin lines coloured by height rather than at true line width — enough to check layers, supports and moves.
Can I open a Bambu Lab .gcode.3mf file?
Yes. Files from “Export plate sliced file” are unpacked automatically and the G-code inside is shown.
